Giving Back to the Community
At Sunsuria, we are committed to philanthropy and environmental sustainability in line with our business motto – Building Today Creating Tomorrow. Our goal is set high to ensure the success of our future generations and the wellbeing of our society as a whole. In line with Sunsuria’s vision in building sustainability, Sunsuria also places great importance in nurturing future talents through the pillar of education and internship oppurtunities. In addition, Sunsuria also strongly believes that overall wellness also plays a large role, championing many sporting and health causes.
Covid-19 Response
Sunsurians stepped up by donating funds and efforts to lend a hand to those in the marginalized community during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. With an amount totally up to RM37,000 in a joint effort with the company, 1626 meals, 200 packs of essential food items such as eggs, potatoes, flour, rice, bihun, oil, salt, sugar, tea bags, can goods, biscuit, onions, and 1000 packets of 5KG rice were distributed to NGOs like Love & Care Charitable Association, Rumah Kids –Orphanage home (Klang), Grace Home Klang and in areas with B40 groups in Lembah Subang, Pelabuhan Klang, Setia Alam including working with social service What A Waste, Jabatan Kebajikan Malaysia.
Dasar Komuniti Negara (DKN)
Increasing living standards of the community is another goal of Sunsuria when giving back to society. In conjunction with the People’s Housing Projects (PPR), an initiative under the Community Policy to refurbish common facilities, cleaning and waste segregation activities and more. Providing a platform for the PPR community to engage themselves in healthy activities and empowering them to raise their standard of living.
Ti-Ratana Children (Badminton)
Sunsuria strongly believes that everyone is born equal and deserves the same chance, offering orphaned children from Ti-Ratana a chance to train with renowned Badminton player Coach Chan Chong Ming. Hoping to inspire and train the next champion of Malaysia!
