    Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap

    Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap (PSM, PJN, AMN) is the founder and Executive Chairman of Sunsuria Group.

    He graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. From such humble beginnings, Tan Sri Ter has carefully nurtured Sunsuria Berhad into an award-winning public-listed company with businesses in property development, integrated healthcare, digital development, education, construction, landscaping and nursery, food and beverages, retail, trading and other complementary businesses.

    Tan Sri Ter is extremely active in the business community as well as a firm believer and supporter of National Unity. In 2016, Tan Sri Ter was named the National Unity Ambassador by the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN).

    For his achievements in the business world, Tan Sri Ter won The Edge Malaysia Outstanding Property Entrepreneurs Award in 2017, the Sin Chew Business Excellence Award – Business Excellence Person of the Year in 2014, as well as the Outstanding Malaysian Hokkien Award by the Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia twice in 2008 and 2017 respectively.

    In 2021, Tan Sri Ter was appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, King of Malaysia, as a member of the Malaysia Special Independent Emergency Committee 2021. In addition, Tan Sri Ter is also the member of numerous government councils: -

    • Member of The Shared Prosperity Action Council (MKTB) 2021 (appointed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia)

    • Member of the Trade and Industry Advisory Council, Ministry of International Trade and Industry (TIAC) since 2019

    • Member of the Consultative Council on Safety and Public Order, Ministry of Home Affairs (MAKKKA) since 2020

    Holding a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, Datuk Simon Kwan began his career as a Technical and Sales Executive in the engineering sector. He soon made strides into the property development industry and focused on the areas of sales and marketing since 1993.

    With a strong background in academics, Datuk Simon Kwan fast-tracked his exposure into the international trade market. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer & Head of Property Development of Sunsuria. He is now overseeing many departments in the company and has successfully led the Sunsuria team in envisioning new concepts and launching them into the relevant markets through persistence and his in-depth industry knowledge.

    Leong Kok Chi

    Mr Leong Kok Chi has more than 30 years of experience in the corporate finance and advisory, debt capital market, accounting and finance, and financial consultancy and services. He was actively involved in listing and fund-raising exercises, corporate restructuring and exercises including acquisition, joint venture and divestment of investments, and project financing. Mr Leong began his career with a public accounting firm before assuming various senior positions in finance and internal audit departments of several public companies listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

    He is a member of member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA) and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA).

    A graduate in Bachelor of Civil Engineering from University of Malaya and Master of Business Administration from University of East London (United Kingdom), Chiew Meng leads many roles including the Head of Project Department, Quality Management System Committee and the Emergency Respond Team. His responsibilities include the planning and operation, supply chain, as well as project quality management of all development projects under Sunsuria Group.

    In addition, he is also in charge of the Group’s 525-acre flagship township of Sunsuria City that comprises a variety of residential & commercial projects on top of other integrated projects of the Group. The role covers feasibility study, planning, implementation until completion and project maintenance.

    Jonathan Lim
    Starting from the mid 90’s, Jonathan has made his impact in software development via his own software company and then moving to make a mark on the Asia Pacific Region developing one of first loyalty points and target marketing solution in HK.  Later, Jonathan served as the Regional IT Director for Asia-Middle East covering 36 countries, and he is instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing a cash industry specific operational management software solution across the region.

    Returning to Malaysia, Jonathan joined Sunway Berhad and as the Group CIO, he oversaw the creation of Sunway Innovation Lab, collaborating with internal business units to drive digital transform and new business models.  Jonathan also spent some time in with VinCom overseeing digital transformation for its 60 odd shopping malls across Vietnam.

    Jonathan graduated with a master’s in mechanical engineering and later an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
